Directions to the Fishery

From M60/ M6 and M61 (a journey of about 10 mins from Junction 6)

From both the M6 and M60 get onto the M61 and travel to junction 6.

Leave motorway at junction 6 following the signs for Horwich

Go over 1st. roundabout (past Reeebok staduim BWFC)

Go through the lights (tesco on your left) to the next roundabout

Turn left at this roundabout (Beehive pub opp) onto Chorley New Rd.

Look for the Greenwood Arms (large John Barras pub on your right set back from the road)

Take the 2nd right after the pub onto Victoria Rd

Travel to the end of Victoria Rd to the T-junction and turn right onto Chorley Old Rd..

Go up the hill past the entrance to the Arcon development (Redrow homes)

You will see the sign for the fishery on your left

The entrance is from a private lane called Wallsuches on your left (opp the Jolly Crofters pub)

 

From M65 (a journey of about 15 mins from junction 3)

Leave motorway at junction 3

Follow signs for Bolton at end of slipway

Go through Abbey Village and out over the moors for a short time.

Go through Belmont Village

Go past the San Marino restaurant on your left and continue for about 2 miles

Take the turning on your right for Horwich onto Scout Rd

Travel along Scout Road to the T-junction (Bob Smithy pub on your right)

Turn right onto Chorley Old Road and continue to the Jolly Crofters pub on your left

The entrance to the fishery is from the private lane - Wallsuches, diagonally opposite the pub
