Curley's fishery about to start phase 1 of the expansion plan
Over the next couple of weeks the cafe will be moving into it's new home alongside the small lake.
Once this has been completed then the existing cafe site will be made ready for the building of a new
permanent cafe/ tackle shop/ classroom etc.
There will not be any disruption to the fishing whilst these improvements are taking place.
The fishery was stocked again this week w/c 21st April
The fishery will be stocked again this week, so looking good for the weekend 23rd and 24th Feb.
Very cold water conditions - it is essential to have a sinking line of some sort.
It is surprising how many fly fishers come with a floater and 9ft leader and expect to reach fish in
any conditions. You must be prepared to change tactics and keep moving to locate fish.
The work to improve Curley's fishery has started. The base for the new "temporary" cafe is being dug.
There will be no disruption to the current facilities or the fishing.
The fishery has had it's first stocking of the year.
All the "new" fish were pristine triploid blues and bows minimum 3lbs.
And to mark this occasion the fishery opening hours are now
8.00am till 5.00pm 7 days a week
There are a limited number of yearly season tickets available for 2008.
These will be priced at £400.00 which entitles you to fish whenever you want.
A limit of 1 fish per visit and free use of a boat, if available, at the time of your visit.
If you are interested please phone Steve on 07737 785784
This is a strictly first come offer only - limited number
So don't delay!
Steve and Helen are pleased to announce that their plans for a new and improved Curley's
have been given full planning permission. This will result in a bigger and better cafe, a larger tackle shop, classroom/meeting room.
Work will commence early Spring 2008
A good report of the fishery in the October 07 issue of Trout Fisherman
BIGGER FISH AT CURLEY'S
Steve Kershaw the fishery owner has changed the stocking policy at Curley's
Now the fishery will be stocked EVERY week not once a fortnight
One week will be "normal fish" rom 1 kilo (2.2 lbs) upwards
The next week it will be some of these monsters
Pure triploids up to 20lbs
So whatever leader material you were going to use - just think again!
